Overview

The challenge: to create something as authentic as Rent itself. The logo was made using stencils and spray paint from a local hardware store—the same materials the characters in Rent might have used to create their own signage. Photographer Amy Guip’s unique style was a perfect match for the show’s gritty, emotional heart, and the grid arrangement conveyed Rent's central theme of community.
